Insulating fibre plate and board

BLOK 607 800°C - 1100°C

Description

Blok 607 are plates that are mode from Supwerwool 607 mineral fibers and with a small amount of organic link substance.

Thanks to the big amount of fibers in a plate, Blok 607 are elastic, light, resistant to termo-impact.

All Blok 607 plate types are waterproof to prevent water or binding concrete solution resolving.

Plate thickness larger than 50 mm is acquired by combining two thinner plates.

The maximum continuous use temperature

  • Blok 607 - 800: 800°C
  • Blok 607 - 1000: 1000°C
  • Blok 607 - 1100 : 1100°C

Characteristics

  • Fully waterproof.
  • Stability at rapid temperature changes (thermal-impacts)
  • Low heat conductivity.
  • Precise geometric dimensions with small exceptions
  • Homogeneous structure, easy to handle.
  • Not brittle.
  • High fiber content.
  • Easy, low heat accumulation.
  • Easy to assemble.

BOARD 607 900°C - 1100°C

Description

Plates 607 – they are hard panels made from Superwool 607 fiber mixture as well as refractory filling, organic and inorganic link substances.

Classification temperature

  • BOARD 607 75: 900°C
  • H BOARD 607: 900°C
  • BOARD 607 85: 1000°C
  • BOARD 607 LTI: 1100°C
  • BOARD 607 INO: 1100°C

Types

Plate 607 75: Suitable for all cases with working temperature up to 900°C.

H Plate 607: Recommended in cases when high durability material is necessary.

Plate 607 85: Suitable for all cases with working temperature up to 1000°C.

Plāksne 607 LTI: Recommended to use when thin and hard plates are necessary.

Plāksne 607 INO: Recommended to use when minimal emission discharge is required.

Characteristics

  • The thin plate freely spins on a cutting mandrel. All plates can be cut with locksmiths saw which allows to achieve precise shapes.
  • Durable at rapid temperature changes (thermal-impacts) which allows this materials usage at places where temperature fluctuations occur.
  • Can be used in direct contact with fire.
  • Very low heat conductivity.
  • Not listed in carcinogenic substance sheets by Q2 classification directive 97/69EC.
  • Not listed in forbidden material sheets by annex V number 7.1 according to German document about substance regulation.

KAOWOOL BOARD 1260°C - 1600°C

Description

Kaowool 1260, Strong, 1400, 1500 and 1600 paltes are made from refractory fiber composition which is specially developed to acquire hard self-sustaining plates with great high-temperature properties.

Plates are made for cases when material harder that rolls are needed. In result, plates have higher density and material has even better insulation properties and diminishes slower.

Kaowool plates are made forming in vacuum. This production strategy gives the opportunity in white color with a small size selection but great precision in thickness. If needed, easy to process.

Strong Board plates are made from selected refractory fill additives to strengthen their mechanic properties. These plates are as twice as durable than 1260 Board plates both before and after firing.

All plates contain a small amount of organic binding substances to increase plate elasticity when working with them before burning. Binding substances burn out in the first burning at about 200°C - 300°C. On request, plates can be delivered already burnt without organic binding substances.

Advantages

  • Hard and adamant plates
  • Fade-resistant
  • Low heat capacity
  • Resistant to thermal-impact
  • Not wetted by molten non-ferrous metals (including aluminum).
  • Doesn’t get flaky or split
  • Easy to cut and adjust to required shape.

Ways of usage

Ferrous metal: Expanding compounds, heat isolation lining layer, heat lining and metal mold bottom.

Non-ferrous metal: Cap lining in situ machinery and situ gutter lining for copper and copper alloys.

Ceramics: Lining in the hot side of a furnace and at light-material wagon LTM production with low heat capacity.

Glass: Heat-isolation in smelting furnaces and burner protection.

Construction of furnaces: Lining for the hot side of a furnace (alternative to available material available in rolls). Second layer for dense refractory materials and extending compounds.

Light industry: Lining in industrial and home burning chambers.

Petrochemical industry: Lining materials for the hot side in high-temperature heaters.

Classification temperature

  • Kaowool Board 1260: 1260°C
  • kaowool Strong Board: 1260°C
  • Kaowool Board 1400: 1400°C
  • Kaowool Board 1500: 1500°C
  • Kaowool Board 1600:  1600°C
